The project
South Australia Housing Centre is a true representation of quality, affordability and personalisation in the home building industry. Their ambition to create homes that suit their customer’s lifestyles and design preferences sets them apart from the competition.
South Australia Housing Centre wanted an e-commerce solution that would allow prospective clients to build their homes online. From floor plan and structural options, to the colour of the interior and exterior, they wanted to give prospects the ability to select their aesthetic preferences and subsequently generate clarity on costs.
The solution
Our strategy was to create an intuitive wizard format that would sit on the home design page of South Australia Housing Centre’s website.
We began with a thorough discovery phase that included breaking down the selection process of buying a home and condensing it into a digestible online solution. From these learnings, we designed a configuration tool that takes the customer on a journey through the home building process. It allows them to make those important, personal selections, step-by-step. After progressing through the tool, a summary of their choices is generated, broken down in detail with associated costs. The customer can then download and keep this useful information in a PDF.
